How long Au Pair

AU PAIR STAY

For how long should you work as an au pair? How much time abroad is necessary? How can you decide for how long you want to be an au pair?

Here you will find some answers to these questions.

HOW LONG AUPAIR?

As a  future au pair  it is important to decide early for  how long  you want to work as au pair.

Most au pair jobs take at least  6 months .

If you write in your au pair profile that you want to  stay for one year , it will increase your chance of finding a host family because many families want to have an au pair for a whole year.

Most countries don’t have any regulations about the time of the  au pair stay  but in the  USA  you can stay for only  12 months.

In other countries, though, you are able to  stay  for less. Especially during the vacation months from May to September, there are jobs for  summer au pairs . These jobs are very similar to a regular summer job.
